- Nope, I think you'll find that the base is pretty much a 1200, a HDD,
- and at least some fast ram, certainly among the people who come across
- MUI apps.

- In a recent survey of our ISP's internet support group, ISTR that the
- votes were pretty much against MUI, more than 50% definitely

- Wrong, I have an 030/882@50MHz 10MB ram, 730MB HDD, Zip, CD....
-
- And I still don't like the way MUI makes my system slow down.

- If you have a processor intensive task running, it will do so to the
- detriment of the rest.

- Exactly, that's how I'd like it to stay. I like my 030 to do work, I
- like my 10MB filled with program data, not 400k's worth of libraries.
- Sensible use of resources is why I like Amiga's

- It is faster in V3, but not that much.

- But what about the poor sods who'll have to run MUI, a web browser and
- the underlying TCP/IP stuff in 2MB of chipram? I can tell you now (as
- I've tried it) it is simply not possible to utilise any of those
- annoying bits of net lag to do anything else, as there is not enough
- memory.
